Description
The Optimal is an inflatable, crossover kayak that truly excels in any water and is designed to feel just like a solid kayak and not compromise on performance. The Optimal will help inspire confidence in with a balanced rocker profile for speed on the flat and maneuverability in whitewater. The V-shaped hull is designed for stability and also helps the Optimal cut through the water effortlessly making it ideal for ocean, river and lake paddling. The rounded stern sheds water easily, making it forgiving in moving water. There are luggage straps at the front and rear so it has plenty of room for dry bags and gear for your day on the water.
The Optimal kayak comes with two removable deluxe kayak seats with a more back support, two 4-piece paddle & a new, improved wheel bag as well as a removable skeg to add speed and stability. The double optimal model also comes with one adjustable foot rest for the rear paddler.
The optimal is available as a single or double seater.

After borrowing a friends carbon paddle recently, I knew that I couldn’t paddle again without one!
I had read on various forums in the past that the best upgrade you can make to your kit is the paddle… they weren’t wrong.
It’s so nice a light and feels really strong, I’ve so far had one decent length paddle with it and cannot wait to use it on some longer adventures. Brilliant addition to my kit.

We brought our double Sandbanks Style kayak in the January sale, picked it up from the shop on 02nd Jan and with the hour we’re on the water! So far we have used it in Poole Harbour and on the river Arun and have had great fun doing so! As the photos show we take our dog Scout with us, and my husband, I and Scout fit in the kayak easily with enough space for additional gear too. It is lovely and roomy! The kayak is also very stable on the water and when getting in and out of. It tracks well and moves through the water smoothly. Even where I am solo paddling the kayak I can get a decent speed and it doesn’t feel cumbersome. It’s so much sleeker and faster than the other inflatable kayaks we’ve had.
If there is anything I would improve it would be to do with the carry bag and to put the wheels on the other side. I’m only 5ft so when I was wheeling it I didn’t realise the accessory pocket was catching on the floor and has worn a hole. So it needs lifting high to wheel it along which is a bit tricky being so short! Also some handles on the side of the kayak itself might help with lifting it on your own.
We’re very excited about all our future adventures together on this lovely kayak!

Fab quality changing robe that fits my husband brilliantly. As good as any other branded changing robes out there.
Two purchased. A big improvement on the basic seats that came with my double kayak: a raised padded seat (no more wet backsides!) and better clips that won't corrode. Looking forward to trying these out in the spring when we get some warmer weather...
